Our Best Practices

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • The organisation started running with the help of DSD in 2017, and it has managed to bring change to the lives of more than 30 youth who were previously unemployed

  • It has manage to intervene and assist more than 300 children issues with regard to their social issues and experiences

  • It managed to take back children who were out of school back to school

  • And it is the center were many municipal and government department comes to for assistance when they want to engage with the community, meaning that we are operating as a linkage office for government and the community

CHALLENGES

  • Even though we are based in the community we still find it hard to connect to the community as they do come to meetings when they are asked to

  • The community is so used to the social exchange theory that they always expect to get a reward for every appearance they make

  • Even though we would like to help all our vulnerable communities or groups we are not able to as we only depend on a single funder in which its funding is limited to the program they are funding for

  • Therefore we feel that we are doing an injustice to our other vulnerable groups

  • We currently don’t have enough space to cater for 300 children as it is required by the department of social development and that means we are not compliant    and therefore it means that we are running the risk of not getting funded or being converted from DIC to CHBC because that will and that will be a disadvantage to our beneficiaries
